About Our President

Debra Parcheta founder and president of Blue Marble Enterprises, Inc.Debra Parcheta is the founder and president of Blue Marble Enterprises, Inc. (1994), a corporation that designs data collection processes and database systems for its customers. Blue Marble evaluates each customer's unique data needs to design and implement decision support systems, data warehouses, and measurement systems. Debra has experience with numerous database management system languages and applications and environments. Recent awards include the 2003 and 2007 PRSA Silver Anvil Awards for a database that measures public relations success and Denver Small Business of the Year Finalist, 2003.

Debra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado. She offers her expertise as an Instructor at CU teaching Database Systems Concepts and Senior Design Projects for senior engineering students. She is also a professional member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), CU's Industrial Advisory Board, the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Colorado Bioscience Association (CBSA) and the Colorado Software Industry Association (CSIA). Debra enjoys volunteering with local orchestras and the state and local chapters of the American Association for University Women (AAUW).
